Welcome to the team, Liam! 👋
We're happy to welcome Liam Følsvik as our new Field Application Engineer at OMRON Nordics, based in Ålesund, Norway.
Liam's interest in automation started early, when he studied Robotics and Digitalization in high school back home in Sykkylven. He has since completed a Bachelor of Science in Automation and Intelligent Systems at NTNU in Ålesund, with a focus on control systems and robotics.
As FAE, Liam will work closely with our customers and sales team, offering technical expertise and application guidance across OMRON's automation portfolio, from choosing the right solution to supporting implementation and troubleshooting.
What drew him to the role? The chance to keep deepening his technical expertise in a broad and constantly evolving field, while helping customers solve real-world challenges. 🔧
Outside work, you'll find Liam at the gym, outdoors, gaming, or working with his next personal project.

At the World Robot Olympiad – Asia Pacific Championship 2026 in Hyderabad, 149 teams from 25 countries came together to showcase their #robotics skills and innovative thinking.
As part of Rockwell Automation’s #CSR initiative supporting STEM education across schools, our team had the opportunity to meet and mentor students from Vishwakarma Vidyalaya English Medium School, Pune, who are representing India with KripaBot, a Smart Temple Service Robot inspired by the idea of using technology to serve temple traditions.
Team KripaBot, sponsored by Rockwell Automation India, proudly represents India, competing alongside talented teams from across the Asia-Pacific region and other participating countries.
