Within 5 years, artisans and manufacturers who have automated their core production will structurally have more margin than their competitors.
This is not a prediction; This is a trend that is already visible on the ground.
Three signals observed in the field:
1️⃣ Labor costs continue to rise faster than selling prices in the biscuit and pastry sectors. Margins are being squeezed. The only way to protect them is to produce more with the same workforce.
2️⃣ The specifications for large-scale distribution and catering are increasingly incorporating traceability and product consistency requirements that manual production cannot guarantee on a large scale.
3️⃣ Delivery times have become a key selection criterion. Those who can promise and deliver consistent volumes are the ones who retain their customers.
Semi-industrialization is not a matter of company size; it is a matter of strategy.
